I would to hear anybody’s thoughts on the article that I read called Women Making $70 Feminist Shirts in Factory Paid Under a Dollar an Hour by Dayna Evans. Woman who make slogan t shirts for feminist consumption are severely underpaid and are forced to sleep in dormitories that house 16 women at a time. They make only 25% of what the average monthly salary is in Mauritius. According to the article “It would take a woman working in the factory nearly two weeks just to buy one shirt” and on top of that these women have no life and work long hours on 4 year contracts in which they do not get to see their families. I ask you how do you, feminist or not respond to this?
